The third Gathering took place this year on Inch on the weekend of June 30 and July 1, 2007.
It must have been the busiest weekend on Inishowen for a very long time. It also hosted the
McGlinchey Summer School in Clonmany and the
Bob Dylan Festival in Moville.
But Inishowen can have it all and it seems, that only the photographers and journalists from local newspapers were stretched out flat. And it was only for the enormous fields kindly provided by Darren Sweeney and his family, that prevented overcrowding. The long, narrow road in its entire length was even more constricted by parking cars. Brendan Farren, who for the second time was the head and soul of the festival, organised a one way traffic, since the stream of visitors had every potential and more to create the first traffic jam in history on Inch.
He also did all the designs for brochures and flyers. Amongst it my favourite, this years logo with Grianan Aileach as well as a map of Inch, no one bothered to do in quite some time. And, he got the big tent.
